ESET Provides Sustainable Cyberspace Security

ESET has partnered with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to provide standard guidelines to protect Nigeria’s cyberspace and ensure that the Information Technology (IT) administrations of all federal government institutions have access to periodic cyber security trainings by ESET experts on emerging threats.

The IT security company says it will secure the cyberspace by ensuring that people don’t get unauthorised access to private information and also to provide guidelines to institution on how to keep information secured.

Speaking with members of the press in Lagos recently,  Olufemi Ake, country manager, ESET, said; “we have a solution called “ESET threat intelligence” for any form of threat coming in, depending on the company we are working with, the solution initially comes to collect address of the company’s logo, whatever assets the company has to protect, we will be alert and warn you of whatever threat coming to you, we are using NITDA as a channel to reach out to private sectors, organisations and individual  institutions on what they need to provide first level security, once an attack comes up, ESET will automatically come in and block the attack.

We advice people to get security to protect files from third party contact, and we have partnered with NITDA to make it very affordable to purchase,” Ake said.

According to him, the company found it necessary to partner with a company agency because of the huge risk of big data compromise.

Also speaking, Olabanji Soledayo, project coordinator and marketing manager, ESET, said; “We are concerned about tertiary institutions. We want to focus on the grass root so that as they grow, they will see the importance of this security.

The solution works for everybody but students will not know the importance of this that is why we are making special solutions for students, also with an offer of 80 percent discount on purchases. We also offer IT remote to have trainings in their schools to attend without coming to our office,” Soledayo said.

Olabanji confirmed that the  ESET secure school initiative, will provide a platform which delivers end- to- end protection for the school environment and private user students in campus.

He revealed that the scheme will offer one of its award winning products named ESET internet security to the students  and staff of participating schools  with amazing features such as data protection, web control, ransom ware protection antivirus anti phishing, anti theft, private Wi-Fi protection and internet banking and online shopping protection .

“The product will be available to students for free and it is compatible with all operating systems such as window Mac and android any internet connected devices,” Olabanji said. BUSINESSDAY.
